"Queen" Face Hugger
I call this thing a “queen” because it is a bit larger than the standard face hugger. I am going to use it as a “hero” prop and wanted something that will startle and be detailed, so I got a little bigger than normal. There will be a more to scale face hugger created for the chest buster prop. I still need to do the underside. Here is the chronicle of creating it in 2 weeks:
4:00pm 7/1 - Pretty much completed.

9:00am 6/30 - Closer. Tail is built, just needs to be skinned. About half painted. A little mood lighting:

6:00PM 6/27 - Noticed that the “spine” wasn’t pronounced enough so I built it up . Finished skinning the legs. Once the spine add-on dries need to skin the rest and build the tail. Then paint. Should be ready by the 3rd.

7:00am 6/25 - He can stand on his very own. He’s gotten so grown up! Still playing around with colors and shading.

7:00pm 6/23 - Getting closer:

3:00pm 6/23 - As other pieces dry, started playing around with shading and colors. This will be painted over once I figure out what colors work best.

12:00pm 6/22 - Used lunch hour to give 1 full layer of paper on the legs and rest of body. Tail and detail shaping will be next.

8:00pm 6/21 - 24 hours in and more detail on the head and legs. 1 pic with flash and 1 without to show more depth

8:00am 6/21 - Started doing some shaping on the head and legs. Replace strips of newspaper with heavy paper towel to allow easier shaping and design.

8:00pm 6/20 - Built the basic structure out of cardboard, wire, and packing paper held together by duct tape. Started the initial covering of newspaper and carpet glue.
